Today was a very good Pacific NW day for me and The Good Husband. We biked to downtown Vancouver and wandered around The Recycled Arts Festival and then to the Farmer's Market. I bought my sistah,
lady_dar, her birthday present and we peddled home. It was probably a good thing we biked down there because we would have come home with at least one more cat (the humane society was there adopting pets) and some funky lawn art we couldn't afford.
I took this picture while we were crossing over I-5. Portland looks lovely from that angle.

I got a little sunburned but not as bad as usual. I remembered to put on sunscreen before we left. I should make dinner or something but I'm too tired.

The world conspired against me yesterday and there were no Saturday Blatherings. People braved the INFERNO and crowded into my tiny office like anxious junior high guppies who only want the best boat slips next to the cool kids.
All of my hard work was rewarded because my Good Husband had pizza waiting for me on the kitchen table when I got home. Once we ate our body weight in food, we changed into our Big Kids clothes and went to hear the Oregon Symphony perform Carmina Burana. The symphony was in good form and the soloists and the choir rawked. The soprano hit the high notes flawlessly and the baritone had a great sense of humor. After all that culture we hit the Alameda Brew Pub for beer and a nosh. Not a bad way to end a lovely night.
Today I have to hit Kohl's and buy some new shoes and summer clothes. I've been good about pairing down my clothes when I buy new ones but I'm down to the dregs and I have NO good summer shoes. I also have to exercise at some point. I think I'll ride my bike. It's a nice bike day.
My mom ran a half marathon yesterday and finished. Give it up for Lyn The Mom!!!
