In an attempt to find a quote to summarize this weekend I turned to Mario Puzo's The Godfather (because Ian has it sitting on the computer desk) for a little bibliomancy and this is the first sentence I read:
The five New York Dons were stout, corpulent men with massive leonine heads, features on a large scale, fleshy imperial noses, thick mouths, heavy folded cheeks. They were not well tailored or barbered; they had the look of no-nonsense busy men without vanity.
Sorry, Mario, but I did not hang with the Dons this weekend. Instead Ian and I hung with the musicians yesterday and listened to my co-worker play a gorgeous Brahms piece and some jazz musicians do their thing. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Saturday I just worked and then came home. I thought it was going to ice over so we didn't do anything expect knit and play computer games.
My mom gave me permission to have fun today but I have things that need to be checked off the list. Groceries just won't buy themselves and Grendel refuses to drive to the store. Plus, I was a slug last week and didn't exercise so I need get back on that wagon again.

Here's a picture I took a couple years ago at the ocean. Some sea creature was hanging out while the ocean passed it by.
It's sort of reflects how I feel today.
Mellow and calm and ready to watch the rest of the world go by me.
I'll post some pictures of the SNOW a little later.
