1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Learned about wine and learned how to knit.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I typically don't make resolutions but I did accomplish the goals I made for the year. I might make some goals for this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I'm sure they did but I can't remember.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No one close but a lot of people I admired like Molly Ivans and Hunter S. Thompson

5. What countries did you visit?
None. I was boring this year. Does Minnesota count?

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A European vacation and enough money to do it.

7. What date(s) from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
May 14th. The day Ian came home and the day he was out of the military.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving the deployment.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not losing as much weight as I wanted.

10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Nope.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I didn't buy it but my cast iron Dutch oven from Ikea was the best purchase evar!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Ian's.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Elected officials and their nefarious advisers.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Mortgage, food, wine, music, books.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Ian coming home, wine, visits from the in-laws, visits to the family in NoDak/MN.

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
U + UR Hand by Pink. I exercised to it A LOT and burned a lot of calories to that song.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happy.
ii. thinner or fatter? Who the fuck cares?
iii. richer or poorer? I'm happy and that's all that counts.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Traveling.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Worrying.

20. How will did you spend New Year's?
With Ian as we played drunken scrabble.

22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
That's a dumb question.

23. How many one-night stands?
At least 500. *rolls eyes*

24. What was your favorite TV program?
No Reservations.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
There are people I dislike and many I'd like to see get hit by a bus but I try not to hate.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I found a lot of "new bands" (at least for me).

My husband back from Afghanistan.

A raise.

I went out to dinner with Ian and I turned 34.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
The $50 million lottery.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
I have a fashion concept?

The woods and my friends.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Anthony Bourdain baybee!!

37. Who did you miss most?
Many.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
The owner of Cork.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
I'm a helluva lot stronger than I ever thought I was and I have my friends to help me with I'm not. I also learned that having needs and admitting to them really sucks.
