The weekend is almost over and for once I feel at peace. I don't feel like I need more sleep or need just one more day. We were productive and lazy all at the same time and it feels good.

New Year's was fun (as you can read from Ian's blog). We don't go out for New Year's because we don't want to deal with drunks and cops. It much easier to stay home and drink too much. I made a nice roasted chicken for dinner along with mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. After the kitchen was cleaned (and Ian pranced around the house with the mop) we played drunken Scrabble only to quit when we realized we had scrabbled ourselves into a corner and couldn't play any more words. Then it was drunken Rampage on our ancient Nintendo system. We always manage to kick each other in the groin more than we destroy buildings.

Today we had our annual New Year's Day Tradition of dim sum. We met up with the No'Po' gang and ate Fong Chong out of house and home. Not really, but it was soooo good. I have a picture I took of my plate after I had eaten mostly everything. I might post it but it looks really disgusting to the untrained eye. One of the things I only ate part of looked like a deflated jelly fish.

We did a lot of de-cluttering of the house and some cleaning this weekend. The house feels good. The laundry is almost done and all is right in the world.

Glad it was good for you. I hope the coming year will bring the same peace and enjoyment. It's your turn. All the best :-)
