Who's to say where the wind will take you

Work has been incredibly slow this week which has been sort of nice. It's allowed me to dink with the website a little and get it to where I can go in and change things when they finally make a decision on the company colors, etc.

I have the makings of a cold lingering on the edges. I've been battling it with lots of liquids and eccanasia and it seems to be keeping it on the edges. Everyone at work has been sick so I'm not surprised this is going after me. I can't get sick. Ian's parents are coming tomorrow and we have very important wine tastings to attend, dammit!!!

In my boredom I was perusing news sites (dangerous I know) and read about Mike Huckabee's Views On Gays. I told my co-worker I was very concerned about contracting AIDS from him. I mean I HAVE been working with him for 7 years and YOU JUST NEVER KNOW when AIDS could be lurking in the corner of the room. We had a good laugh.

Speaking of dumb people, we have this guy who comes into our office I'd say at least once a month asking us for moorage information. He asks the same questions over and over and I think we've given him enough brochures to wallpaper his house. I feel for him because I think he's lonely but I wish he'd get out of my hair. I'm always nice to him but after a while I have to pretend I'm busy so he'll leave.. like I did just now. Blargh!

And finally, I have to say that our New Bed is wonderful. I'm not sure how we lived w/o a king-sized bed this long. Grendel has managed to hog the bed from us even though there is miles and miles of space. Quite the talent.

A friend worked the reference desk at a library in college. A very sweet "idiot savant"/Aspergers/whatever lonely guy used to call multiple times a day with difficult questions (and lots of movie trivia-type stuff) that he already knew the answer to, but wanted to see if the reference librarians could figure it out. (this was pre-Google). They finally convinced him to only call once a day, and started to look forward to it.

Huckabee & Gay Rights
Huckabee has to gang up on the LGBT community to show us what a real man he is. If he has to pick on a group of American citizens why doesn't he pick a group that has the same rights, benefits & protections as he has? www.OUTTAKEonline/blog.html

Because no one would fund his campaign.

Heh, for all you know he's gathering the brochures to wallpaper his house. He might be doing a special for HGTV and you'll be getting tons of publicity from it.

Well, he MIGHT! Better get the website tweaked just in case.

Grendel is a cat. Of course he can hog the bed from two mere humans.
