Let me steal this moment from you now

Storm
I have not been a good blogger this week and I have no excuse other than I'm a slacker. I had plenty of opportunities to take pics but I didn't jump on those chances. I'll blame it on lack of sleep. Which, actually, has been a problem for me this week.

Despite my problems sleeping, I have been a very productive girl. On Wednesday I gave the fine folks at The Naked Sheep some money and they taught me how to knit. I can cast-on and knit. I will learn how to pearl next week. I have two more lessons and I hope to be knitting complex sweaters and scarves by the time I'm done. LOL Most of the women in the class grasped it right away but it took me a few lumpy passes to figure it out. We told one woman she was teaching next week.

On Thursday I tasted Argentinian wines at Cork. I met some very interesting people who made me want to win the lottery at once and go to Argentina. I managed to get out of there without spending the mortgage for once and I was quite proud.

In other news, I was pleased to see this article in the NY Times today. I so love the Republican's response about homosexuals being distracting. Ass-hats. OH NO! I just wrote about homosexuals. If any of you find that word offensive please feel free to flag my post and report me to the LJ Thought Polizei at once!!

One more thing.. please make sure you have chains on your tires and your neighbors have chains get your lifeboat ready for the incoming STORM 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! I was just thinking about you and knitting last week and planning to ask you if you wanted to try that lesson after the holidays. But you are way ahead of me! So when are you making me a sweater? :D

I have no patience for knitting. Mom tried to teach me once and I liked it for about 5 minutes. Kudos to you for that. I find the storm 2007 comment offensive.*rolls on floor laughing* Chain tires in your neck of the woods cracks me up.

Break out the MRE's, bottled water and make sure you have warm blankets and a ready shotgun to ward of starved cannibals!

I was just commenting to Dale that people must be pissed that it's going to snow on a Saturday so they can't miss work.

Ah-Haaa! The fiber mafia have you now! There's tons you can do only knowing knit and purl. I'll try to post some photos of Amazing Projects that really aren't that hard. And once you're really hooked, I'll get my mom to share with you where all the best yarn stores are near you. 'tis often the only thing she cares about when vacationing, and she's vacationed up your way a lot.

Happy knitting!
