I tried to wait until 11 before I wrote my Saturday blog entry but, alas, I have failed. On the way to work this morning it was snowing and now it's raining. And dark. I had to make a small pot coffee so I can get through the day. I may have to crack open my book earlier than usual today because it is DEAD in here. It snowed on the way to work this morning. Ian did not have chains or MRE's in the car. We could have died.
Once again, another busy week has come to a close. I went to a meeting put on by the Office of Neighborhood Associations on how Vancouver is trying to be more sustainable. The Official Sustainability Flunky was there to talk about the project and his information was interesting but he didn't have any clear answers yet. People were getting annoyed because he couldn't give a straight answer. Of course he brought up the dreaded idea of Vancouver entering the 21st Century by getting light rail and the one crusty old retired marine *had* to bring up the fact that we have C-Tran and don't need light rail. I was expecting him to spout something about how we don't know what the queers are doing to the soil. I would KILL to have light rail in Vancouver. I hate sitting in I-5 traffic every morning. The good news is that there is going to be Sustainability Fair sometime in March at the Expo center. And it will be FREE!!!
In other news, we're meeting some friends after work for dinner so they can give Ian presents and we can toast him turning the magical 42. Tomorrow the No'Po' Gang will be over for crafty fun and cake. Fun will be had by all.
I must go. The company cat is yelling at me because we moved His Chair. Gawd.
